    Virginia law?
Someone at a reptile store told me ASFs were illegal in Virginia. He actually went on to say that any african rodent is illegal here in Virginia. Is that true? I was wanting to get some ASFs to breed for my snakes and ferrets.

Not sure how up to date this is but from what I can tell, there is nothing that says you can't have ASF's.

Here I did a little more looking and came up with this:
    http://www.animallaw.info/administra...cfr1240_63.htm

Again nothing about ASF's. Also I can't see how they could list ASF's on there as they are all domesticated. The animals they list are ones that are frequently imported or wild caught. Which would justify their concern for the spread of disease.

Call the Virginia Game and Inland Fisheries Department and ask them.
