Is he impacted?? Blue stomach/ pics
Hey i just checked on my male pastel today and he has been eating very well now for the past 10 days. He is only 2 and a half months old and during the first month of his life he didnt eat. Now he is the best eater ive ever seen taking rat after rat. I fed him three fuzzy rats in the past 6 days and he keeps asking for more. SO today i take him out of his hide to check on him and he looks huge. I check his stomach and its somewhat blue. I felt his whole body and there doesnt seem to be anything hard in his stomach but his whole body is pretty strong and hard feeling. I hope hes not impacted he hasnt pooped in a while and he keeps eating.

Does anyone have any idea should i just wait a bit and see or is there any way i can help him defecate.

    Thank you

heres the blue lower body dont know if it comes out well but rlly shows on the snake

and this is how big his body is before his cloaca is this normal or a little too big for normal

You're feeding him too much. Once a week is recommended.

If you want to help him digest a little easier, get some luke warm water(I use my probe I have in my aquarium to measure the temp.) and soak him in that for a little while. You can repeat that as well..

I just got a pastel myself:)

    lukewarm soak.

keep an eye on it, and dont feed again until you see the snake defecate.

it looks like he is ready for a big poop. The bottom where he looks blue is just the poop inside his body.

both pics look normal just before a poop..

thnx everyone i just handled him a little while and he took a huge dump on me

oddly enough i was thrilled that it happened.

i will slow down on the feeding, but hes always asking for the rats so i figure its ok

Mine asks for food. Every time on feeding days he comes out and he looks around and sticks his head up and stuff. Which jut gets crazier when I actually start thawing stuff because he will just start getting ready and will do the whole lift his head up to look for the food, etc. Then after eating he keeps looking around for more. So yeah.

As funny as you seem to think that is, you are feeding him too much. Some of my snakes have looked like that in the past, and you need to wait for them to expel all that waste.

Is it me or does that pastel look more like a super?

Anyway, glad you got it sorted out. Feeding them a lot when they're young like that is ok - every 4 days is about the most frequent it can reasonably get.
