    This could have been nasty!
Woke yesterday morning and came down the stairs to let Oscar out to do his business. Opened the back door and was greeted by this

    Oscar checking out the damage

Obviously this blew off the roof of the house and landed right at the back door. Where the aerial is lying is where I would usually stand when letting Oscar out for his nightly run. Good job it came down in the middle of the night or somebody could have ended up with a T.V. aerial embedded in their head

Dam those pesky Autumnal breezes :taz:

Just looking at those pictures, my back passage could do with a good power hosing :O

Hey, just be grateful that they evidently broadcast in UHF over there. One of our VHF antennae from here would have been much bigger.

Dang that looks like a really small area so it is lucky it landed there and not on a person or even a car. Did you hear it?

Aye Dale, I'm just grateful it struck no-one! It may be small but it's got very sharp edges and quite a bit of weight.

The new digital terrestrial aerials they are now putting up of the digital switch over are huge. Wouldn't fancy one of them bouncing off the old noggin!

Hello Marmie. It is a very small area, just the small yard leading out to our utility room and main back garden.

No didn't hear it fall but I could certainly hear the gusts of up to seventy miles an hour wreaking havoc!

Very lucky that it never hit anybody as the wife and I are always in and out of the backyard. Good job it was the middle of the night ;)
