    Magic Mice
I have a female bp that is about 1.5 years old. The first 6-months I had her she ate mice...then she got bigger and ate rats for 6 months. This summer in june she went on a feeding strike....didnt eat for 2 months.....then has started to eat about once every 3 weeks. I decided to let her try a mouse today...and she ate 3 no problem. I fed her 1 mouse...then tried feeding her a rat...didnt touch it....then ate 2 more mice no problem.

This is crazy...what kind of snake eats mice as a baby...eats rats for 6 months....then decides it will only eat mice again? lol

    Anyone else ever experience this?

My first BP and male Amel corn snake prefer mice even though they have taken rats before.

More-so with pastels... really? Can anyone chime in to confirm/deny/give a better explanation? Seems anecdotal to me.

I find snakes are alot like ppl, who the heck know's why they do what they do.

Really are you claiming that there are differences in personality based on the morph? I understand it COULD happen I just kind of think it wouldn't. Though further elaboration would be welcome by myself and everyone else.

I had a pastel who did something similar, started on mice as a hatchling then to rat pups and small rats. Out of nowhere she stopped eating, didnt go back to mice but she ate ASFs for about 3 weeks then went back to regular rats.

I have a pastel who steadily ate frozen thawed for a good six months and now wont touch them, but I think it doesnt really have much to do with the morph, I think any snake might do that....

I also have had this happen with both of my pastels. started on mice then rats only for a bit and now back on mice. I think its just coincedence and also the fact that were were asked specifically about pastels. I dont think pastels do it any more than any or snake.
