Opinions on reptile reading program for kids
Was hoping to get some parental input on an idea I have . I want to put together a reading program for kids. As a parent i know how difficult it can be to find a subject that interest young children. I have decided to call this the reptile reading program.I will be putting together reading modules that would be based on 10 good choices for a beginner reptile. This would be a reward based reading program for the kids. The program would format would be as follows, The parents would sign a contract with the child with the agreement that if the child completes the program they would be rewarded with a reptile and set up chosen from the 10 chosen reptiles. The parents would benefit by encouraging the child to read and reptiles would be a great subject to entice them to read .The parent would be assured the child has the information required to care for the reptile. There would be a quiz structure for each module that the kids would be required to pass. So in the end we educate about our industry ,we encourage kids to read, We inform new reptile owners to be responsible owners . I will be trying to recruit breeders to write or cowrite modules from there expertice. I feel very confident in ball pythons and will be completing that module. Please give input please ! This will be a free reading program and hope to encourage education and spread the word of this great hobby we all enjoy! Thanks!
