Re: Bailey & Bailey Reptiles
Its nice to know Grace ended up with a wonderful family that will care for her. She certainly has a great story that deserves a happy ending :)
Kudos to Tim and Monica for a job well done.
Re: Bailey & Bailey Reptiles
Wow Joanna that's an amazing story on how they were able to save Grace. That was before my time on the forum so I missed the whole thing while it was happening but I just read through the threads on her and she's such a little trooper. I'm so glad to hear that she's gone from one great loving home to another. Definitely keep us updated and I would LOVE to see some pictures of her today! Does she still have the scar on her belly?
She's a b-e-a-utiful spider to boot :D. Congrats and I will definitely be lookin at B&B when I'm in the market again for more BPs :gj:

Thanks so much Rich! We're thrilled to have her. It's killing me to NOT keep taking her out of her tub right now.

Thanks Adam. Her scar is so minimal it's amazing. A real testiment to Tim's surgery skill and to the amazing recuperative powers of a young, otherwise healthy animal given obviously excellent post-op care. As soon as my computer is back up and running again I'll get some close up pics of that area of her belly. You'll be amazed at how hard it really is to see any scar at all. :)
Re: Bailey & Bailey Reptiles
That certainly is one beautiful girl.
*this is only my own opinion and is not to be taken as a condemnation for those who decide to cull* I am very glad that other breeders feel these animals are worth saving and not culling off simply because they are not "perfect" enough for them.
Re: Bailey & Bailey Reptiles
congrats Jo and Mike you guys will give her a great home
Re: Bailey & Bailey Reptiles
Grace was lucky to have Tim and Monica now she is just as lucky with you Jo congrats.
Re: Bailey & Bailey Reptiles
First of all, I would like to congratulate Jo on her new animal. Secondly, I am happy toknow that she is in such a great home, because I miss her already. To think she may help someone in her new role as an educator is a great feeling, and to know that she is going to have such a special life after what she has gone through, is more than I can ask for the happiness that she has given me over the last year. Lastly, for thsoe who are interested in looking, I have been planning a Grace page for the website for quite sometime now, but my lazy butt hasn't been able to get it accomplished just yet. However, I did take a departing picture of her to add to the web page. Here is the pic we took.
Congrats again Jo, and thanks for providing such a good home for our little girl,

Re: Bailey & Bailey Reptiles
Awesome! As soon as I saw "Bailey&Bailey" and "special snake" my mind instantly went to Grace. Congrats on your new, very special, beautiful girl! And congrats to MBM for taking such good care of her! ^_^
Re: Bailey & Bailey Reptiles
Thank you all for your words and especially to Tim and Monica for entrusting gorgeous Gracie to us. She's doing really well settling in right now and is currently in shed.
I love that picture you took of her Tim right before you shipped her out....it's priceless!
We're hoping to do a snake show at Mikey's school within the month (if not it's scheduled for springtime as we don't like to take the snakes out of the house during the cold winter months) and we can't wait to include Grace in our show. She's such a pretty snake and so calm in nature that I think she'll be a big hit with the teachers and kids and they'll learn a lot from her story too. :)
