what type of cage would be good for ball python, i had the snakes before but moved and sold them,can you post pictures of your cages

It depends on the size of the snake in terms of length and age.
Zilla makes great reptile enclosures with very secure built in lids

As mentioned above the size of the snake is definitely something that needs to be taken into consideration. Your best bet, if your going for a nice looking set-up, would be a glass terrarium. Usually a 20gal long will suffice for an adult male probably not a female. Tank that size will usually cost about 30 to 40 bucks plus a top and all the accouterments. A lot of people on this site have have more than one python so they go with the tub set-up which is easier but not as attractive from an esthetic perspective. It's honestly your personal preference

Once your snake gets a bit older, a Reptile Basics cage can't be beat for holding heat and humidity easily, good looks, and easy clean up :gj:

Ugh... I've got enough building going on at the ranch!!!! With prices these days, and including labor, RBI's prices are not bad..... :)

Personally I'm a huge fan of plastic tubs (rubbermaid, sterilite, etc) due to their easy maintenance and great environmental control. Draw back is they are lacking in regards to being good for displaying your animals.

i recently puchased 3 abs plastics cages myself. a 4x20x13 and 2 2x20x13 with lights mounted into them and gave $330.00 for all 3. not a bad price i didnt think but others may disagree lol. here is a picture of the 3 i bought and he is now making me a 4x20x13 pedistal for them to sit on.

This advice is good. I have one of these. If you stick to one kind of cage you can easily stack them as your addiction grows. Controlling temperature and humidity is no effort at all in a cage like this. The same isn't true of a glass tank.
