    hey all,

    I just built and finished my enclosure as of last thursday.. it still reeks of Silicone.. is there any way to get rid of this.. It's outside and has been for the past 3-4 days and the smell hasn't changed.. any help would be apretiated.

    I would put a fan or heater on it. Because it is cold out it maybe taking longer to cure.

    Maybe just bring it indoors and crank up the heat.

    yeah I thought about that too. I'll give it a shot.. any other suggestions?

    Maybe put some baking soda in a small bowl and set it in there? It might help soak up the rank, and probably the fumes as well, heat would help also I would think.

    I'll try blowdrying it at home once I can get it upstairs.. I tried baking soda as a matter of fact lol it's funny you say that.LOL

    Weird that its still smelling. Often the smell is just acetic acid (vinegar) that's given off during the curing process (though that depends on the silicone). I would just let it keep venting a little while longer with plenty of good air circulation.
