    Basic breeder rack supplies
I just bought some tubs for my ball pythons 19'' by 14'' by 6''. i have heat mats under each tub in the rack. Wondering what all the necessary items to put in there. each has water bowl and hide but hide takes up alot of space.

We don't put the hides in our tubs but my rack encloses the tub on 5 of the 6 sides. As for the size you might be a tad on the small side. I like sterilite large sweater boxes. In our tubs we have paper as the substrate and a nice heavy large water bowl that the girl will be able to wrap around without dumping it over.

I agree with him, hides aren't necessary in a rack system. If the animals really want to hide they'll get under their substrate.

I use ikea dog food bowls they have holes in the sides that make prefect hides/water bowls. they have two sizes as well, one good for hatchlings and one good for subadults/smaller adults
