Ref Tackles Player... what?
Did anyone see this on yahoo and the following website?
http://www.thewizofodds.com/the_wiz_...-defender.html
and
http://rivals.yahoo.com/ncaa/footbal...n=ncaaf,115984
Here is the video of it if I can get it right:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dcdWdBgUBqw
and this one shows another view of it - you can see the ref actually head towards the QB -

I can't find out what happened with this guy, if anything, but man - that wasn't an accident. They said back in the 60s he was a starting linebacker... maybe instinct took over or something?
I don't really follow college football that much - just here and there - but this is enough to get me mad - this better be under investigation!
Re: Ref Tackles Player... what?
Dude thats freaking hilarious he got knocked the :cens0r: out lol.
Re: Ref Tackles Player... what?
After a discussion with my boyfriend he says it looks like the QB was going to cut in but then didn't and that is why the ref was off - I still think its kind of shady though. What do you guys think?
Re: Ref Tackles Player... what?
Maybe he heard the defense mention something about a Bud Light.
Re: Ref Tackles Player... what?
I saw this a few days ago also. For one thing the ref seems to be way out of position. Why is he right there? That there makes it a little suspect
Re: Ref Tackles Player... what?
If you watch the whole game, it was the second time he was going to be used as a "pick". This ref was also a player back in his days at Kentucky, and SportsCenter joked that he got a flashback of his playing days and had to put someone down.
It was hilarious either way, Garcia shouldn't be using the refs to block for him, he has 10 players on the field that are supposed to do that.
The ref was also in the right position.......to make a great open field tackle!
