    tank size
hey y'all ok so I'm getting a ball python and I'm going for a baby, so i have a 10g tank for it, for the moment, later i was going to put it in a 30g tank when it got bigger, but i also have a 75 gallon tank and i was wondering if the snake would completely freak out in a tank that big ( although i would LOVE to set up an awesome place for it in thank tank...) any imput would be awesome!

    thanks!

I would say that 75 gallons is way to big, especially for a baby. An adult may be okay in a 75 gal, but only if it had lots of furniture. I would stick with the 10gal for a baby and then move up as he/she gets older.

The 10g is just about right for a baby. Just make sure there is NO open space by putting in greenery and such.

The largest tank a BP should ever be in as an adult would be a 40g long. And, you'll have to wait at least a year or so before moving the snake into the 30 you say you already have.

That 75 would better house fish or a cool lizard... or a boa. :)

Make sure, with any tank you use, that you cover and insulate the back and both sides, cover the screen top 3/4 with foil or plastic, and use a good thermostat with an Under tank heating source for heat. Good luck with everything for the little one!

75 gal would be like taking someone from Bayou, LA or some such place and dropping them in Manhattan... way to big
