housing two snakes

what is the most inexpensive way to house two snakes and to heat them properly. i currently have two ball pythons:1 male and 1 female: and they are in the same tub, so i was looking for someway to house them seperate bc i heard it waqs not good to keep them together. I am looking for a cheap but effective way bc im in college and dont have that much money.

Separate tubs would be the least expensive way to go. You'd heat with flex watt or a UTH and control the heat via thermostat. You could use a rheostat but only if your environmental temps stay very constant during both the day and night.

Heat Rope. Big Apple Herp (online) has a flexible heat rope that you can place under bins. Control it with a thermostat, and you can heat 2 bins with it, side by side, with no problem. I've used it myself, and it works great.

If the tub is big enough and the snakes are small enough, you could always make a divider.

the male is 3'4'' and about 1200g and the female is 3'8'' and around 1400g, the tub is not big enough to divide to make a warm and cold side on each side and i dont have the money for flexwatt or a reptile mat.

If you have these animals, you have to take the responsibility to have them. Right now, housing those two animals together is dangerous for the females life, as they are probably breeding age, but the female may too small and could be killed if bred.

I highly doubt your ready for a bunch of baby snakes either.

It's going to cost you money. If you don't want to pay money, you should look into getting these animals another home. Buy some flexwatt, it's not that expensive. Buy a thermostat, that is expensive.

You need 2 tubs, 2 uth which are about $15 each(I do not recommend heat cables for stand alone tubs) and one reliable thermostat, 3 thermometer/hygrometer etc

Do you have the money for a thermostat? Do you have the money if your BP get sick and you have to take them to a vet?

Pet ownership does not come cheap and if it is or can be a financial burden maybe it is something to re-consider.

ok im going to go get some stuff together and taking it to a pawn shop so i have money to get all the necessary items to house them seperatly. I have too much stuff anyways and i love my two snakes.

flexwatt is really cheap and you can get the Ranco t-stat that i have from reptilesbasics.com for $80
