    Tegu escape
I came home to find ALL THREE tegus out and gone! The outside pen is wired top and bottom and sides, but someone (I suspect Noah, because she's the digger) managed to rip the wire enough to make a hole big enough to squeeze through.

I frantically searched and of course found the mean Noah right away. Secured Noah and spent another 2 hours searching the fenced backyard. I finally located Gracie(the big red male) buried under the AC unit, and dug him out.

Another hour until it got dim out.. and NO GROO. The one tegu I would NEVER give up, and she's my bud.. and I can't find her anywhere. At this point, wherever she is, I'm hoping she's dug in for the night. I'll go back to searching tomorrow morning.

Wish me some luck, I sure need it. I'm really torn up over this. I inspect the pen minutely all the time. I don't know why/how/etc/useless questions.
Sigh. It's been a run of luck with reptiles for me.

You're not kidding. I spent half the night bawling my eyes out, I've searched the yard AGAIN, and called all the local humane societys/animal controls around me. Most went "Oh.. a lizard..yeah.." and that was it.
I'm about to crawl under the house searching. It's chill and damp out still, so she probably is still dug in somewhere sleeping.
