Do you pre scent your thawed rodents?

What are you techniques for pre scenting your frozen thawed rodents?

Are you questioning in regard to prescenting a room with the smell of rodent, or rubbing one type of rodent onto another, e.g. scenting a mouse with an ASF for a picky eater?

Did you need to scent one rodent with another rodent or reptile??

Sorry, I wanted to say pre scenting the room for the snake with the rodent.

I am also interested in scenting rodents for picky eaters. What are ASF?

I have my rodents pre packaged for the amount I feed every week. I lay that bag out for about 8-10 hours till completely thawed. I then place the bag in my snake room with a portion of the bag open to let the smell go through out the room. I usually leave that in there for a couple hours till I feed at night. I have been pre-senting my room for about 7 months and have found that I have a better feeding response from my picky eaters now than I did before pre-senting.

This is pretty much exactly what I do. I leave the rodents to thaw in the bottom shelf of the fridge for about 10 hours & then I place them in the room with the bag opened, then-right before feeding- I run the bag through hot tap water, and blow dry the rodents (makes them nice & stinky).
I get awesome responses from all of them. I also realized that the later I feed them, the better the response.
I have 15 BPs, all feeding consistently on F/T (9 of them used to be strictly Live eaters), and the prescenting has really helped a lot.

I only have a 6 feedings under my belt with a single Ball Python but I have had a wonderful feeding response with my snake. The longest It has taken her to strike has been around 90 seconds. I thaw in the refrigerator, open the bag partially and leave the rodent in the room for about an hour. I then put my bp in a feeding tub. I dip the rodent in some hot water quickly to raise the overall surface temp and then leave the head in for an extra few seconds to get that farmer than the rest of the rodents body. I started farming the head more than the rest after my first feeding. My snake had a hard time finding the head of the mouse and kinda folded the fuzzy in half. I did some reading and decided that I needed to increase the size of rodent I was offering and keep the head warmer than the rest of the body. So far so good. On monday, her 6th feeding at home, she struck at the mouse 34 seconds after I presented it and swallowed head first. She was 101 grams on Monday and I fed her a 14 gram mouse.
