Something interesting always happens on feeding night...
Last week, I got punched in the face by a hungry bp. This week, I had something else happen! I was moving down the rack feeding. I came to my genetic black back male. He was all scrunched up at the front of the tub, as soon as I opened it, his head popped out, along with about half his body, he was ready to eat. I put the rat to his face, and he struck, missed, and came around and sunk his teeth into his own neck. I freaked and put down the rat (f/t) and I grabbed him out of the tub to try to get him off himself asap. He was obviously in feeding mode, and it appeared he believed he had hit his prey, as soon as I grabbed him, the rest of his body immediately wrapped around my forearm. And I gotta tell you, he's a big boy, about 1300g, and it was quite an uncomfortable experience, he was squeezing HARD! However, I did remain calm and I went and found my brother, and once I removed the snakes mouth from his own body, I had my brother gently unwrap him from my arm, and I put him back in his tub. Man was my arm pulsing for a while. And after all that, he still ate! What a trooper. Oh, and he didn't really do any noticable damage to himself.
Sorry for the rant, just thought I'd share.

Most times they will let go when they realize that it hurts! LOL!! Very funny though...man your house must be quite an adventure!

Ya know... if these feeding adventures continue to occur, you should start writing a comic strip every week to keep us entertained!
Glad you and the snake are okay though. Start paying your brother to stick around in case of emergencies... lol
