You know its bad when you get excited about heaters:rolleyes:. But for anybody that heats there ambient room temperature you have to check this out. They claim it will cut your electricity use in half, heats the room evenly, no cold or hot spots, wont catch fire, safe to the touch, kills bacteria and germs, most of the models run of 120 electricity, have models that heat lg sq ft, wont decrease humidity. Anyways this seems like a miracle heater to me that solves all my problems with force and radiant heaters. A little on the pricey side but i think its worth every cent, if this really is good as they say. Just check out the link and let me know what you think

It just looks like they are really expensive 1000w - 1500w heaters.

To be honest, it doesn't really seem worth the price to me. If you've got money to throw around, great. :gj: Most of the things you mentioned are actually covered by using an oil filled radiator heater. You can get rid of the hot/cold spots easily just by using a few strategically placed fans. My snake room isn't real big, just a spare bedroom -- but I've got a single heater in there with a small (I think its around 8 inches maybe?) fan near the ceiling angled down to circulate the heat, and I have no hot or cold spots. Every spot in the room is within 1 degree of 83, which is what I have the thermostat set to.

well i see your point on some issues but its hard to heat large space with a 1500 watt radiator heater and you are still running fans to evenly distribute the heat which is more electricity to run. force air heaters dry out the air and have to run all the time and still the heat rises to the ceiling with it still being 1500 watts if it heats the room evenly faster than a radiator heater its not running as long which cuts down on electricity so to achieve the same effect you have to run half as long and not always running fans to move the heat so in turn the high cost could pay for it self in months. now i am not talking from experience but if it works like stated i dont see a good comparison to radiator or force air heaters. its kinda like those energy efficient light bulbs more expensive to purchase but cuts electricity use in half or more so you really save money. Just a though. Well I thought it was neat but thanks for you views keep them coming i would like to see if anybody sees it my way.:D

I don't know about anyone else, but our electric bill is under $50 bucks a month... it's more economical for someone like me to just use the short oil filled radiator and fan.
