Re: Cooling one's snakes.
Hmmm, I have thrown pairs together WHILE I am cooling, and I have thrown pairs together after raising the temperatures back up from cooling. So I guess I have done it both ways. The weather up here is cooling off a lot. So I have thrown a few pair together and have gotten locks already. I also have snakes that I have paired who have shown no interest in eachother. I am hoping that after I cool them and start to warm them up again I will pair them up again and hopefully get different results.
Well...I really didnt answer your question :P but eh, as long as your snakes are of weight and healthy and ready to breed, I dont see the harm in paring them while you are cooling now. The female just may not be interested yet. Then you just wait after you have cooled. :)
Adam at 8Ball did a great job on that Calendar. A very useful "cookbook" kind of tool!! :)
Good Luck!! :salute::salute:

Re: Cooling one's snakes.
Last season I followed Adam calendar to a T, this season I am experimenting a bit, I have starting cooling and pairing in the same time so far so good, next seaon I will likely not cool at all, and see how it works.
Bottom line try different thing and see how it works for you and your snakes.
Re: Cooling one's snakes.
I didnt do any cooling at all last year and wont this year either. They are in my basement, and I'm sure they can feel it getting colder. I start putting them together once I feel it too, lol.
