Adoption stories?

So, being the boring person I am, I spend about 2 hours a day just browsing craigslist. Every day I notice about 2 or 3 ball pythons up for re homing with a pretty small fee. As much as I want to adopt some of these guys, I don't have time time or space for them right now.
Does anyone else adopt their ball pythons for sites like these? Please share your experiences. :D I would very much like to solely adopt ball pythons in the future.

I haven't but my cousin has. Her snake wasn't in the greatest condition when she got him. I would be very careful adopting snakes from CL etc. If you decide you want to, make sure you check them out carefully and make sure they're healthy before taking them home. And make sure to qt! You just never know!

I just see all of these unwanted snakes and I feel so bad for them! It always sucks to be unwanted ):

We adopted a nice female who's going to be up to weight for this breeding season for us. She'd had a retained eyecap with fluid buildup behind it, and it wouldn't come off with soaking--thankfully, a high humidity and a good shed rid her of the problem shortly after.

My first adoptee was an 8 year old female BP. Her owners had moved into town, and could not find any place that would let them keep her.She was spot on healthy except for her eyes, which were in bad shape. Multiple retained eyes caps, and damage. Here are what her eyes looked like when I got her.

After much TLC over the next year and really babying her eyes each shed, this is what her eyes look like now. She also gave me a nice clutch of 10 eggs this year.

Since then I have adopted a Cali King and a adult MBK. The MBK is the most docile snake I have ever come across, and is PERFECT for educational programs, as is the BP. Both kings were from military guys that got transfered and just wanted to find them good homes. There is not a reptile rescue here, and reptiles turned into animal control are normally destroyed.
