just picked this guy up yesterday from a friend that didn't want him any more. not sure on the species tho, so if anyone wants to help me out that would be great!

just to give an idea of what i started with, when we picked him up he was in this tank with NO heat source, repti-bark and several old meals littering the tank. i cleaned and sanitized everything, threw an extra CHE on him and just put a new hide in there. picked up an acurite and am just waiting or everything to settle in. dispite the conditions, i was told he just ate a couple days ago and had a great feeding response. i'm waiting to confirm this under my keeping next week.

Looks like a Brooks Kingsnake to me. We had one at the store where I work for a while, he was a little nippy but not too bad, great feeding response. They're pretty hardy guys, hopefully his ordeal didn't hurt him too much!

so, a Brooks Kingsnake... well he seems to be in good health- no symptoms of an RI that i can tell, no mites or parasites that i can see. hopfully over the next few days i'll get his tank finished up and get some more pics
