Not this time around... Let us know how the show is. I've always been a tad disappointed with the outcome, but it's not a bad show.

I normally go to the show, but money is so tight right now I am going to pass. I'd like to work some trades since nothing is selling right now, but most of those vendors don't care about quality produced animals and they don't give any reasonable value for trades. Many times they are border line insulting about it!

I missed the Tampa show a couple weeks ago as well which was a bummer 'cause the Sept show is one of my favorites.

Well, enough rambling. Have fun at the show and try to purchase from a breeder as opposed to a "flipper" dealer. If you don't find anything healthy looking I have a couple of extra normal males that are well started and I would be more than happy to donate one for free to a future herper.

Yeah the show is VERY small, I only go when I want to p/u animals from breeders that I know who are going to be there.

    Kevin, kudos for this thought!

I'd been thinking along the same lines, after having seen a post saying something like "can hardly give normal balls away". I think that getting a kid (with their parents' full approval and consent, of course!) started this way could benefit the future of this hobby (not to mention the kid!) in unimaginable ways.

yeah i went on saturday...didn't see this post till tonight. first time to the o-town show so i was kinda disappointed. ballers balls was there and they had some cool stuff. i wanted to get some frozen feeders but didn't see anyone offering them.

and i did a trade there...traded a blood for a big norm female ball. this is my first ball by the by....have more coming next month. she is a bigin!! don't have a weight on her but yea large large.

o and ive notice something....everytime i get a new snake, within the first five minutes of me touching it, it bites me!

Bruce, I couldn't agree more! I got the impression that the OP was looking for a good first pet Ball Python for his niece and I thought I could help because I have a couple nice looking normal males that will make great PETS!

Worthless normal males? Nope not here! They make great pets!

sorry you miss understood me she allowed to have a snake just that my sister says not at her house so my niece lives only a block away from is keeping at my house with me and my wife she has been really good with my big male hulk and also was bugging me for a female but with prices of females i was afraid i wasn't able to get her one but when we got there someone had one that fit my price range so we got it for her later down we may breed the two but right now it's more of teaching her resposablity of caring for the snake
