How are the temps in your room? If it's too warm your production will decrease.
Re: Males not getting job done?
well right now there in my bed room so its a good 80 or below.
Re: Males not getting job done?
How old were all the rats when you got them? Do you rotate the males through the females every other week?
Re: Males not getting job done?
every other week or so yes, they are all over the 250 gram mark.
So i dont know why they would not be mateing its what rats do!!! haha im so confused
Re: Males not getting job done?
I think 80 is getting too warm for rats. Not terrible, but can be a cause.
When you first put them together, they were all over 250 grams? They should be quite bit larger if two months have passed since then.
My thinking is if they are just now 250 grams, it may be another month before you see pinks.

To warm wow, i might be in trouble thats pretty cool for AZ haha. Well it depeneds some are bigger some are smaller. Like 2 of the females are around the 250 gram mark the rest are bigger, i guess ill just have to wait and see what happens. thankx connie
Re: Males not getting job done?
If 80 is the cool end of AZ, then you will certainly see production levels lower than normal.

Re: Males not getting job done?
Generally, the youngest "best" age is around 3 months, at 250+, they sound a tad too young.
