    Mojave Question
Is there a difference between the super mojave and a blue eyed lucy? Ralph Davis' web site says there is a difference but I thought when you breed mojave X mojave you get a BEL. Reason I ask is because im interested in getting a pair of Mojaves to produce a BEL... if thats even possible. Sorry if this is a stupid question. Im a noob to this addiction. Thanks

Hey around here there are no stupid questions just stupid people. Lol just kidding. I can't really answer the first question as I'm not totally up to speed on my mojo genetics. However, if you breed a mojoXmojo you do have a 25% chance of getting a BEL! I believe that in this case it is considered the "super" form of mojave. There are different ways to get to a BEL however if you breed any of these together: Mojave, lesser, butter, het russo (I'm sure there's probably more I don't know about but those are the big ones) you can produce BELs with either more or less yellow in them depending on the morphs.
Sorry if this is confusing and if I'm totally off I'm sure someone will put me in my place :D.

BTW :welcome: to BP.net and :welcome: to the addiction!

A super mojave also known as a Blue eyed Lucy are not totaly white. They tend to be very dirty looking:

I found this link doing a search on a super mojave:
    http://www.boaconstrictor.com/index.php?productID=136

You can also breed a lesser to a mojave which 25% would toss you a white snake, a white snake from this breeding would be cleaned up better.

Lesser x Lesser = an even whiter snake (again if you hit that 25% mark)

Also lesser x phantom = gives you a whiter snake, Ralphs "Karma" is one such example

    Re: Mojave Question
Blue Eyed Leucy's cover a broad range of White snakes with Blue Eyes.

There are lots of ways to get them, and one of the ways is to do Mojave x Mojave.

Other combos to get the BEL include:

    Lesser x Lesser
    Mojo x Lesser
    Het Russo x Lesser
    Het Russo x Mojave
    Butter x Lesser
    Butter x Mojave
    Butter x Het Russo

And there are a couple less well known morphs that also produce white snakes with blue eyes.

SO, in conclusion, Super Mojaves are always BELs, but BELs are not always Super Mojaves. ;)

    Re: Mojave Question
The most basic and simplest way to answer this question is:

A super Mojave is a BEL.

Not all BEL's are super Mojaves.
