First feed success!

Well today I fed my new female BP today! I fed her a hopper mouse. It took her a moment to notice it, but the second time it walked within striking distance, she went for it. She had trouble figuring out which way to swallow it and ended up going rear end first, but still a successful feed!

I'm thinking I'll try to f/t train her in a few more weeks.

We had our first successful feed today as well
He had been meeding on medium mice when he was shipped.
We tried f/t. I initally had it in front of his hide, but it slipped out of the tongs
He poked his head out of the hide and gave the mouse a good look over
He stayed about 4" or so away kind of looking at it so I just backed away thinking he was going to eat it. He started going towards it but saw me and backed up to just inside of his hide/ So I put the lid back on and left him for several hours.
When I came back he was back in his hide and the mouse was still there.
So I took the mouse out and held it in front of the CHE for a minute or two. I then put it back in front of his hide and kind of bounced and dragged it around. Nothing. I was about to give up and slowly dragged it across the front of the hide.
His strile was quick and I must say surprised the heck out of me. As curious as I was, I just put the lid back on and left him to his business. I peaked in after about 10 minutes and he was in the hide and all I could see was the rear legs and tail sticking out of his mouth.
