    Rat Treats
I am attempting to breed mealworms for my sugar glider and I end up having dead beetles. I was wondering if I could use these beetles as treats for the rats. I've never tried giving them insects as treats before and I want to find a use for these beetles. If feeding them to the rats is a no-go, then I will set a dish of them outside for birds to eat.

From what I've heard, the black beetles taste like crap. If you feed a black beetle, you usually can't even get them to try a white one (more tasty) afterwards because they're so awful. You could always try it, who knows, they might just like them.

I have fed off the mealworms beetles to my Geckos and also ASF rats. They never seem to complain. The Superworm beetles are another story they stink.

I've been having heck of a time getting a super worm colony going. I have 3 beetles still hanging out, but no worms as far as I can tell.

I feed super worms to the ASF's, they LOVE the heck out of them.
