    Update: corn eye problem
I just wanted to give an update. I had asked for help with my lavender corn's bulging eye.
We took her to the vet tonight and the vet said it wasn't an infection. She thought it was a cyst, and decided to lance it. They took a very small needle and lanced her eye *shudder*. She was a good girl and didn't struggle and it didn't seem to hurt her at all. The Dr. said a whole bunch of fluid came out and she looks much better now. We are supposed to put antibiotic cream on her eye 3 times a day and keep it clean.
The Dr. couldn't give us a reason for this happening, so I'm concerned but for now she looks better.
Any good thoughts and positive energy sent to our little Violet would be appreciated!!!!!

That is good to hear. Here's hoping she comes through it well. It sounds like your vet knows what she is doing :)

We just fed her and put her eye medicine on. She ate well. Two fuzzie mice and one rat pinky. She is less than thrilled about the medication on her eye though, and does not like how we had to redo her house. She had to go on newspaper. She is used to the clump newspaper bedding, and really dislikes that she can't burrow. She does have two hides but she isn't a happy baby girl.
No change in the eye since leaving the vets office. I'm hoping for improvement or no change by tomorrow.

More news. The test that the vet ran on the fluid in her eye came back showing no signs of there being any kind of infection. That means that the eye was injured and its not an infection, and that it will heal in time. The vet said he hopes it will straighten itself out when she sheds next. I told him we would have to wait for a while because she just shed a month ago, but when we took her out yesterday to clean her eye she looked as though she was starting to get blue eyes, and this morning there was no question, she is going to moult really soon. She is blue eyed now so hopefully she will moult sometime next week.
I so hope this fixes her eye!!!!
Please all of you send positive thoughts and positive energy to my Violet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

She shed early last evening. The eye looks almost normal, its a little bigger than the other one but not bulging out at all.
I'm hoping it will continue to shrink. She looks great!!!!
