    new kingsnake
my roommate and i are planning on taking over care of one of his friends kingsnake. they don't want it any more (lucky us :D), and according to my roommate, the snake is no longer being cared for properly. i just read the care sheet on this forum, and just wanted to see if there is any other info that can be added. i haven't seen it yet and have no idea as to its health, history or even which species it is. any general tips would be great.

yea, i can't wait to get it- hopefully this weekend :D

all i know is that it is black with white bands, but i thought there were multiple species/morphs with that kind of coloration.

Cali Kings are the more common banded King but Easterns can have quite thick banding on the odd specimen.
