    New hand tame Parakeet
    well we tried with the love bird and she just wasn't working for us.

    I took her back and then went to a nice local bird fair, where breeders and their birds meet and greet and you can pick from nice super healthy birds and some are hand tame.

    I was sooooo hoping for an english budgie... but
    I got a super nice hand tame parakeet instead.

    nice parakeet, I bought a pair for my mother in law, the male looks exactly like that one.

    Beautiful! If I remember correctly when I was researching before I got my parakeet, the color of the little patch of skin above the bird's beak can tell you what sex they are. For instance, a female would have a light purple or pink patch, like yours, and a male would have a dark purple or blue patch. Congrats on the pickup :) shes a gorgeous little girl:)

    We have named her Cloud. As her color and the white patches on her back and back of her head look like clouds.
