    Back yard..parasites?
Is it a bad idea to let my snake out in the back yard? I mainly put him on a warm rock and let him heat up a bit and relax before he roams around a bit before putting him back in the tub.

Is there a danger of mites/parasites?

In most yards not really (mites are host specific)...There is more of a risk from what you put or leave in the yard (fertilizer, bug spray, dog poo, etc.)

Oh no, I always keep an eye on him and he's always on the rocky part. I never let him go on the grass area.

ive put mine in my backyard in the grass alot and have never had a problem from mites/parasites and i know alot of others that has let theres roam the yard as well with no problems. just make sure there is no animal poo or bug sprays or any other chemical containing objects in the little bit of area you would let it roam in and im sure it would be ok. i have a 6ft flower tree in my yard that my larger carpet loves to get into every time shes outside.
