1st lock Ever!

woot there it is, i coupled em last night and jools the female was goin ape! waggin her tail pushing her vent out like there was no tommorrow Kaa the male seemed vaguly interested and i woke up to this!

christ they been at it all day, jools looks wiped out instead of 3 days im gonna wait till there done and give em a week off lol
kaa just looked at me like"wheres my rat dude" but jools is definantly gettin tired, i only have one more female so im not to worried about 3on 3off and my other male isnt up to weight
figure if they lock once every couple weeks i should get somethin goin

Grats man I just had my second pair lock up last night. Been at it all day also. My first pair locked for almost 3 days.

thnx guys, it was so cool watchin her wag her tail, there still locked so guess i,ll hafta wait till tomm to split em up i hope pandora takes to him like jools did(she wouldnt take no for an answer lol)
they did move to a new spot (guess the mattres was lumpy)
and relocked
im just cycleing one male and 2 females this year

Hehehe, I had a voracious tail-wagger last year, and I agree it is quite a sight to behold. Those females can get pretty fiesty! :P
Congrats on the lockup!

We had our first locks late last breeding cycle. Nothing came of those so we started again at the beginning of this month. Have 3 pairings going on and 2 of them have had multiple locks already. We put them in for 3 days or until we see a lock and then see them no longer locked the male will come out. Our big boy (2000+ grams) doesn't seem to look worn out so much every time, but the smaller 800 gram boy looks beat after every time. The third pairing doesn't seem to be going anywhere, but we will give them 3 months or so of 3 days on 3 days off before rethinking any breeding plans. We will probably be adding a couple other pairing around December as well.
