Can i feed cichlid food to goldfish? And would it harm them if I do?

I wouldn't recommend it. Goldfish need more carbs than cichlids. It might even cause bloat. Luckily, goldfish food is cheap. :)

Please do not feed your goldfish cichlid food. Goldfish food is super cheap. Cichlid's and goldfish have different diets. If you are looking for some kind of color enhancement for your goldfish then Betta food is your best way to go.

OH , no I wouldnt waste cichlid food on golds, just buy a dollar can and feed them right. They have weird diets.

Goldfish are pretty vegetarian, while most cichlid food is more of a carnivorous diet. Too much protien on a long-term basis wouldn't be ideal...
That having been said, if you're out of goldfish food, you won't poison your fish by feeding them cichlid diet for a couple of days 'til you can get to the petshop.
