Help! Mouse bit my Ball Python

Ralph got bit by his lunch, but it's not that bad (I hope). There is very little, if any, blood, but there is a small nick where he got bit.

He finished eating the mouse, and, so far, he is acting normal.

What should I do? I plan on completely cleaning/disinfecting his cage, putting some neosporin on the nick....but what else should I do.

I plan on knocking these mice out before dropping them in with him...but he never would eat anything unless it was first moving.

Thoughts/opinions?

make sure there is no pain killer in the neosporin and i wouldput him on paper towels for a while

Ok...so I washed Ralph's injury with a mild anti-bacterial soap, rinsed him off thoroughly, dried him off, and put some Neosporin on the site.

I also thoroughly cleaned out his cage with a bleach solution, am washing all of his hides/water dish, and going to line his cage with white paper towels and elevate the temperature a bit and lower the humidity a smidge.

Is there anything else I should do?

His bite is really just a nick, but it's a tad bit red/inflammed at the site where it just happened...but it really isn't a big bite at all, it's more like he got stuck by the mouse's teeth. Nothing is ripped off and there is no flesh missing at the site.

should be fine, this happens in the wild all the time and the snakes get over it (ever seen the scars on a adult WC python? ;))

Yeah, it should be fine. Like lizardofozz said, they survive much worse out in the wild with no neosporin or disinfected habitat or constant monitoring.

I don't worry about nicks like that, and that's the worst that I might get when feeding live (I've fed live for over three years, and thousands of feedings). Something like that wouldn't cause me to start stunning prey (which I personally find a bit inhumane).

Sounds like his scales did their job in protecting him. :)
