Well I've already posted a few times but haven't actually written up the "introduction" post :D

My name is Peter, I'm 22, grew up in Houston, TX but spent a few years in both Alaska and Louisiana. I just graduated from Carleton College in MN, and made the move to Minneapolis in August while my parents moved back to Anchorage.

I'm going to be getting my first ball python pretty soon(headed out to a local reptile shop today to pick up housing), and am super excited! I had a corn snake for 14 years that I loved dearly, and have plenty of wild reptile experience from running around in the bayous of louisiana and texas.

I've gotta say, this website has been absolutely fantastic, friendly, and helpful in researching how to keep a pet ball python happy and healthy! Look for pictures in the coming week or so (if all goes as planned) of a new resident to my home :D

Well, let me be the first to say :welcome: It's always great to see new people around here :D. It sounds like you're getting off to a pretty good start! We'd all love to see the pictures of your new animal once you bring him/her home :gj:

    Welcome aboard! :handshake

It's always heartening to see someone researching and setting-up ahead of time rather than making an impulse buy! Can't wait to see pics of your new snake when you get it!! :gj:

Yup, we weren't allowed to have pets in dorms in college, so I've had four years to think and plan :D
