Maybe wait longer after the refusal until trying again. Hopefully she'll be hungrier and more likely to take the prey down. Would it be normal for her to take 3 prey items in 2 weeks before the refusals started?

I have had a few balls that would kill the prey and leave it lay ? but as soon as I would use forceps and try to feed the dead rat they would strike constrict a second time and swallow it. Next time give it a try! I have a female that does this every feeding !

In my experience, many times killing a prey item and not eating it can be a sign of stress. Their natural instinct is to kill a prey item, but because they are most vulnerable to predators while they're swallowing, so a stressed (or insecure) animal will kill and not eat.

Triple check your husbandry and maybe try a hide if you don't have one or a smaller hide if you do.

    Just a thought.
