    Size of Tubs
I was just wondering what size tubs everyone uses for breeding? Most probably use the cb-70 I would imagine.

I was wondering because I plan on breeding my male pastel (1080grams) and one of my normal females(2150grams) but my pastel is real shy and this will be his first time breeding so when I introduce him I want to make sure he feels secure but I want there to be enough room for both of them.

By the way I keep the adults in 90-100qt bins but I have them furnished enough w/ decorations to make them secure.

Thanks in advance! Just wondering what everone uses since Breeding Season is just around the corner.:D

I dont breed at all, but I asked a similar question, more about just normal keeping, but a lot of people told me they keep and/or breed in 31 or 40qts. It seemed really small to me since my 1000gram girl fits pretty nicely in her 41qt. I think a cb70 would be fine.

i personally use Sterilite 34 Qt tubs

they comfortably house my large females of 2200 grams -3000 grams
plenty of room for breeding and egg laying ..

    hope that helps

my rack holds 27 -34Qt tubs
i still have 3 shelves to add on the bottom of 1 side and then add the rest of my tubs in to fill it up but i figured id show ..

I keep all my snakes in CB-70's regardless of size. What I dont like about the smaller tubs is if they poop/pee they really dont have much room to get away from it. In the CB-70's there is plenty of room for them to move around and not drag their body through their wastes... I think the smallest snake I put in a CB-70 was around 200g and I have no issues. I use to keep all my snakes in 116qt tubs but with 18 snakes I ran out of room.

Thanks for the info. Does anyone know what retail store sells the cb-70 (in IL) so I dont have to wait and pay for shipping? Thanks in Advance!

Due to space constraints I am in all sweaterbox size right now (CB-30) and I heartily agree that it makes it hard for them to flee their poo. I'll notice when I wake up in the morning the ones that relieved themselves are trying to get out, going more crazy than if it's feeding day. Translation: They are smart enough to want to get away from their poo/pee.

As a result I clean twice a day, before bed and in the morning. It's a pain, it'll be nicer when I upgrade to the CB-70's. Somehow I think they appreciate my extra effort.
