Opinions on morph males to get with about $1,000-$1200
After talking to a few breeders I've decided to start planning out how I'm going to get started. I'm going to go with morph males, raise them up and then buy some ready to go normal females to get started as soon as possible.

A well known breeder suggested that I go with a mojave, spider and black pastel which I could get for about $900 plus shipping. I like that idea, they all make morphs with normals which allows me to make morph hatchlings right away for a minimal investment.

Any other suggestions? I might be able to get one or two more snakes with another $300 if I can swing $1200. I'm thinking a YB male and either taking the rest of the money to upgrade from a mojo to a lesser/butter or getting my one morph female which would be another YB to raise up and shoot for ivories.

From what I hear Pins are some of the worst selling morphs right now. I will get one eventually got make spinner blasts though, just not right away.

I'm a big fan of hypos and yellowbellies. They are great lookin on their own, and make some great combos.

Yeah but that's putting all my hypothetical eggs into one basket. Plus I want to get between 6 and 8 normal ready to go females for the 2010 breeding season and if the bee I get winds up being a sub par breeder or something else happens I'm hosed. I'll go with security for the first season with multiple males that I'll rotate through and then pick up a bee the second go around.

What I did was buy spider, pinstripe, mojo, pastel, and black pastel male, and 2 pastel, woma, black pastel, mojo females. I've raised them up about a year. My males are all ready.. I've gotten some normals to go with them this season.. I don't know about breeding my morph females though.. They are big enough but the age thing has me wondering.. I'll have to see how they act.. I bought these because I like the morphs and for the crosses that can be made with this group. Good luck with whatever you do.. But it's been said before.. Get what you like.. Your the one that has to feed it for the next 20 years..
