how many times should they lock up?
I just want to know what the odds are that after one lock up will it take? Or how many times should they lock up to have a good chance of her taking? I saw the mating schedules, just want to know the odds, thanks. :)

My question is did they actually lock up or just get in position?
I have seen snakes that I was sure locked up but when you get down to the nitty gritty the male didnt extract his hemipenes, they just were in the position.
I like to see 5-7 locks during the season to feel that the mission has been accomplished;)

It all depends on the female. If she is ready one lock up can do it. If not they can lock up a hundred times and it won't matter.
