    Silly question about colouration
I have a JCP which is under a year and right now its a dark colouration an dI have been telling my friends that in another year or 2 it will brighten up. They are telling me it won't so my silly question is how long must I wait before my JCP brightens up or until I'm proven wrong?

    Re: Silly question about colouration
most will continue to color up for about 18 months, depending on how much you feed it and how well taken care of it is. i once got a carpet secondhand that wasn't very well taken care of and even though it was already about 18 months old, the color really took off after a couple sheds because, i fell, better husbandry.

but yes, you are correct... how much it colors up will depend on the genetics of the individual animal though.
