WARNING regarding scam attempt

We just wanted to let the membership know that apparently we are being trolled by the bunch from Cameroon and their buddies. As some of you might have noticed we recently removed an ad and banned the username "gorgeousreptiles". This was done because of complaints from other members regarding harrassment originating from this account as well as very questionable issues around just who "gorgeousreptiles" was.

As staff we strive to do our best to weed out this stuff but we can't always catch them all. Please be very careful about checking into who you are doing business with and if you have any concerns about a possible scam going on, please let a staff member know.

what is a troll? i always see people getting angry with them, but im not too sure what they are.... can someone help me out?

Catie, I'm very glad you let others know about what these folks were trying to pull on you. Part of how any scam works is that the real information is hidden and confusing. Scammers don't get away with nearly as much once they are exposed.

It is now official- this guy is using my pictures and trying to sell animals he does not have. He sent pictures the pictures of my animals to my boyfriend in a reply to his fake inquery. I am going to post the pictures below in case anyone else sees them on a forum or ad being claimed as their own.

Catie, thanks for keeping us up-to-date on this. If any of our BPNet membership do see these photo's used on another site, I think Catie would appreciate being made aware of the fraudulent use of her snake pictures.
