What kind of parrots are these?
Anyone know what kind of parrots these are? My neighbor 2 houses down has a huge aviary in his backyard with parrots in it - these 3 escaped from what I have heard and they live in our neighborhood, I've seen them out here for 3-4 years now.

They all stick together, my next door neighbor buys parrot food for them and puts it in a feeder for them so they are always at their house.

They look like Nanday Conures, native to South America.
Being wild now, I doubt they're friendly, but when captive pets they're HUGE goofball birds. Pretty cool!

They look like a Blue-Headed Poinus Parrot but that head looks black.? Someone else might pop on here and correct me if I am wrong.

Hey thanks guys! I have always wondered what they were but I never got any good pictures of them until today (they were in my front yard and I snapped these though the window).
They want nothing to do with people which is understandable since they have had to live on their own for so long. They are quicker to fly away then the doves/sparrows out here but they are fun to watch. Its always so weird to hear parrots outside in the middle of the desert, they're the only birds I see in my neighborhood that make any real noise so you can always tell when they're around.
