    I just lost a snake
Okay I was cleaning cages today, and I went to the last one in that particular rack and I find nothing. Wait... what? :O Why is there no snake in this tub? I just fed everyone last night, and I know I fed this particular snake. So where the heck is he? :confuse: I start pulling tubs out left and right to check behind them. I start looking around with my head on the ground, trying to figure out where he could have got to. In my head, I'm just thinking oh good gravy my husband is going to KILL me. :slamhead: Then I happen to look behind me. :ohmygod: There he is in my temporary holding tub. I had already pulled him out and secured him, but I got distracted and completely forgot he was sitting 2 feet behind me. OMG! I swear somedays that I should have been born a blonde.

Just thought I'd share my.... nervous breakdown, stupidity, _____ fill in the blank. :ohmygod: :slamhead:

Quick Christie! Look behind you! There's a snake in a tub!!!!!!

That's okay hon. During last year's breeding cycles we had Riordan in with big Brannagh. I go to pull him out, he's not there! No smaller male, just one HUGE female. I'm freaking! I figure she's gone and eaten her boyfriend! I'm almost in tears and thinking to myself "Brannagh you just had the most expensive meal of your life you rotten snake!". Happen to look up and there's Riordan (whose tub is higher in the rack then Brannagh's) peering at me from the front of his home.

Apparently Mike had moved him back in his own tub sometime during the night.

LOL. At least you could blame Mike.

I swear I almost had a heart attack. In my defense, I've been having asthma issues and had taken some benedryl and another antihistamine. Still!!!

Once I opened lessers tub to put him back in, and for some reason forgot he was in my hand and started freaking out thinking he escaped:rolleyes:

I read the title and thought you had killed one of your snakes! :O LOL!

I have lil moments like that all the time. I talk to myself when things like that happen and tell myself how stupid I am. I think it helps. :D

Oops. Nope haven't had a snake die on me, but I'm still very worried about that one pastel baby of mine.

Wow, I'm feeling much better about this now and yes I talked to myself through the whole thing too. In fact, I do talk to myself a lot because as a mom hardly anyone else ever listens to me. (unless I'm announcing that cookies just came out of the oven. :giggle: )
