    first hopper
Well I'm excited!! my baby python took down her first hopper moust today!! Yay!... also she struck at me for the first time... It was histerical...she had just finished eating and it looked like she was still hunting for more but i didnt want to feed her anything else because i didnt want to over feed her....

    is that possible?

any how i waited a lil while then i tried to move her to put her back in her cage and she struck at me it hit and barely hurt. toooo fuuny then she tried atain when i got her in the cage to no avail.. so i gave her a stern talkin to..

Could it be possible she is still hungry..

It could be possible, but they usually stay alert like that for a little while after feeding.

I know Ruth will stay looking for food for a good two hours after I feed her, no matter how much I feed her.

That's possible. It could also be possible that she was just peeved that you were moving her while she was digesting. That's just one of many reasons most keepers feed in the snake's enclosure...

But, to find out if you are feeding enough, what is the weight of the snake? And what was the weight of the hopper? It's my understanding that a baby bp can take on a small adult mouse (approximately 20g), so it's possible if you fed it one hopper that it was still hungry...

It was probably still in feeding mode. I wouldn't worry about it.
