Yup, there's a cool story behind it, the snake was passed down a lot. He said it doesn't have much left in it but hes still breeding and making clutches! It also has quarter sized white dots all over it, which he is trying to get as many females as he can from it before he stops breeding or dies.

I thought the oldest recorded was like 49 or something? Philadelphia zoo if i remember correctly.
EDIT: Found a reference on VPI's site: "This is a long-lived species of snake. Several years ago a ball python died after more than 49 years of captivity in the Philadelphia Zoo, setting the current longevity record for all snakes." It is near the bottom of the page on this link:

I believe there is an adult at the St. Louis Zoo that is over 50. The last time I saw it, the data card said 46....I think. That was 3 years ago, and it was imported as an adult. The number of years was not for the snake, but for the amount of time they had it. As far as I know, it is still there.
