How many females were with him? Maybe he had a heart attack from all the hot loving he's been making. ;)

    Hi

What substrate are you useing? I cant see why he would drop dead other than old age, but you state that he was not old. Sometimes it just happens, he could have stroked out or had an internal problem. Maybe someone will chime in later with a better answer.

    Hope this helps- Matt

Sometimes they just die. If your breeders came from a pet store where they are kept in overcrowded, unsexed bins then you get a lot of indescrimate breeding and inbreeding. Once you get your own breeding groups going and get a few generations away from the pet store, things tend to get better.

I just had a sudden death also! This morning my male was fine and happy, this evening he had a little blood at his rear and then an hour later he was dead!

Sometimes they just drop dead for no reason that we can see or tell about. I'd just keep an eye on your others and see if they start showing signs or what not.
