    scale rot?
    hey all, just another noobie question by me. How does scale rot occour? Does it occour from bad husbandry, or somehow getting an infected cut, or what? thx:gj:

    Mostly bad husbandry from met moldy areas. Keep your cage nice and clean and your fine!

    Too large of humidity (I'm having that issue right now. I have to melt new holes tomorrow because my poor ball's tub won't go below 80%).

    Basically if your snake is on a wet substrate for a long period of time (including it's own urates/feces) it will receive scale rot.

    Do your best to avoid it, as from what I hear, it's NOT easy or fun to treat.
