    Hardened stuck on yolk sac?
I have one of my baby ball pythons come out of the egg with the yolk still attached but it was hardened and has dried up but not fallen off? Will this happen on its own or will I have to cut this off? Someone please help. He looks healthy but all his siblings have shed and he is the only one still shiny. I don't know what else to do? All advice is greatly appreciated.

I will give you advice that I know.
If the yolk is absorbed or hardened, I would assume it no longer capable of absorbing or doing any benefit for the snake.

Get yourself some unflavored non-mint floss. Tie it around the umbilical cord (I think a good couple cm away from the body) and tie off the yolk sac and cord.

Please, someone more experienced, feel free to chime in here with any other advice. This is what I would think to do in this situation.

It will fall off in due time.

Just don't play with it, rip it off or anything like that.

Watch him closely to make sure the bellybutton doesn't rip open
