    Unexplainable Behaviors
I've been noticing a lot of weird behaviors from my snakes over time, and I thought it might be neat to gather together a list of the "unexplainable" behaviors of our ball pythons. Things that make you just tilt your head at them, and say, "what the heck... ?" :giggle:

I have three that I can think of off the top of my head.

    1. Adalae CONSTANTLY sleeps like this even though her hide is definitely big enough:

    I've no idea why...

    2. Harlett did something similar when I had her:

    Again, no idea why.

    3. Harlett also used to rest her head on my nose. Just about every time she was out she would do this, and if I didn't bother her she'd stay there for quite a while. Scary stuff if you're not used to it.

Anyone else have snakes with unusual behavior for no apparent reason?

    I have those pointy plants!

Anyway.. Maybe them putting only their head in their hide has something to do with them FEELING like they are all covered up even though they arn't just because they can't see it?

Mine does the nose-resting-on-nose thing too. It's so cute, it's what made me choose her from the reptile store, actually! She'll first give a snakey-kiss, then bump noses, then rest her head.
