My Bp Escaped

MY BP escaped, from its cage last night. where should I look in my room. My door was closed the whole time so I know he is somewhere around here! What should I do to get him to come also where should i look?

Most of the time they don't seem to go far from their cage. Look up high as they can get into places that you would not think to look. The obvious places are anyplace warm and under the bed. They have been known to get into mattresses as well. Good luck!

Can they climb also how should I lure him

Start your search at the enclosure and work your way out from there... Look under dressers, in shoes, basically anywhere dark and tight-fitting for him to hide. Also, look under anything that puts off heat. Most of the time you will find an escaped bp within a few feet of the enclosure. The one time mine got out, she managed to slither under my closet door and I found her hiding in a backpack in the back of my closet...

Well first of all I think he fell of my dresser I mean I know he did and I looked under it and he wasn't there. I am trying to lure with a heat lamp...

any other suggestions, please help!

You could try to put a thawed mouse in a box with a small hole (big enough for the snake to get in) and see if that attracts him, especially if it is close to feeding day.

Edited to add: I've heard if you put the box on a heating pad (set low, probably) that can help.

Oh I haven't fed in him 2 weeks, Ill do that. I also could try my pet hamsters see if he comes by them...

Ours escaped recently and just as I was looking about the room trying to figure out where to look first, there he was! climing the headboard on the bed with his nose pointing up toward the wall! I felt quite lucky.

Alice got out one night about a month ago. I heard him in the night making all kinds of racket, but never imagined he had escaped. He was nowhere to be found when I got up at 5:00 a.m. I had to leave for work and my hubby, who works from home, was left to search. Our bedroom door had been closed as well, so we focused in that room. Later that afternoon he found Alice in his closet hidden under some clothes on the floor. Only his tail was sticking out!

Let's just say I became a believer in locking the sliding top. He still loves to explore, particularly the night or two before feeding day. Last night he made so much noise he woke me up several times and I had to keep reassuring myself that there was no way he was getting out this time.

So...warm and dark is where to look. Before he actually found Alice, my husband set a small dog crate in a corner with a human heating pad on low hoping to attract him. Our next step was going to be putting a thawed mouse in there, but luckily it didn't quite come to that.
