10 month old boa beginning to bite
Well I my BCI has never displayed any aggressive behavior at all.
She was born Nov Sept '07 and she has always been really tame.
Well on Saturday when I went to clean out the cage she bit me. Well I figured it may have been some sort of feeding response or I spooked her but today I went to take her out and Bam! bit me again. Once I pick her up she is as calm as a kitten.

Well the thing is she doesn't take an aggressive posture (open mouth or hissing). I am wondering if this could be a horomonal/physical change that she is undergoing or if this could be that I do not handle her much. I handle her for a few minutes each week.

Could this be that she is getting cage territorial?
Is this just regular BCI, start out nice, then get aggressive?

She bit my like 5 mins ago and I have her around my neck and she is as calm as a kitten.

Furthermore the bites are quick strikes and then it's over. Almost like she's saying Hey! Just a reminder, I've got teeth.

Should I bump up the handling?

Should I invest in a hook?

I am not going to get rid of her EVER! It's just explaining to people that my snake bites. Dammit!

Oh and she is not in shed.
