    the light colored are the Berkshire in question or the black?

    Black is a dominant color & an important factor in proper point coloring of Siamese marked rats
    Siamese is recessive... must be in both parents in order to reproduce

    Chances are your siamese is a berkshire. The berkshire is a modifier gene on the hooded (H) locus.
