ASF temperatures if kept in the garage for the winter
I am new to ASF's although I have a ton since March now. I have my setup in the garage. I have an insulated garage door. The garage is generally not heated. I am thinking of sectioning off a part of the garage with tarps and heating just that area with an oil filled heater. Will it work? we have fairly cold winters in Canada, where I am, and I don't want to end up losing the asf's to the cold.
Has anyone else gone through this already? what did you do in this scenario?

How cold does it get in your garage?
Re: ASF temperatures if kept in the garage for the winter
It gets as cold as it is outside without the direct wind and exposure. I would say coldest -10 celsius
I am thinking of heating just a portion of the garage, but am wondering if Tarps hung from the ceiling draped to the floor and a heater inside will hold the heat?
Re: ASF temperatures if kept in the garage for the winter
I'm not sure how well they will adapt to cold. ASFs are much more used to living it warm-hot climates. Anything colder than 50F I would consider a no-no.
Just my 2c.

Any chance of moving them into your basement perhaps? They really have such little smell that they wouldn't stink up the place.
Re: ASF temperatures if kept in the garage for the winter
They wouldn't make it in those temps. ASF's like the heat.

I kept mine at 60 degrees F as the lowest..they produced very well all winter for me.

I ended up moving them into the basement. I think it will get too cold in the garage, and will cost too much to heat.
